Why do people blame guns for random acts of violence?...........no more than blaming the spoon as the cause for fat people..........

Don't blame the guns. Is the human nature... The man is part of the small club of animals that intentionally kill members of his own specie.
We want this to be different, but is our nature.

So in Texas I can carry a concealed pistol with me on a family trip to see a movie, but in NYC I'll get arrested for taking a large soda on the same outing. Hmm... glad it's working out for you over there, guys...

It's a sad fact that in 21st Century we still got to have such tools in order to survive. It is also one of the saddest comments upon so-called "civilization"...
On the other hand, majority will crave posession, but won't invest five minutes in trying to learn how to use it (in both psychological and manual sense). Seems like people would always rather dream than learn.
Same with cars and cameras...

There will always be such conflicts in life, we are on a whole pretty good people, but yet a times very troubled, hungry and violent race no matter what is in our hands.

I always wonder what the warsaw jewish people could have done if they had a 2nd ammendment.. More jews than Germans. This was beyond cruelity to humanity.

Happy to see this website is willing to display such a topic. Here in the US it is one of our greastest freedoms and a powerfull statement, saying that we trust our fellow citizens.

With over 60 million firearms in this country thats a lot of trust. semper paratus.

One man's freedom is an others' tyranny. A neighbor shot his wife with a handgun - sole purpose firearm for killing people. No charges were laid - she had her gun out too. One can only imagine the kind of marriage they had. The framers of the US constitution could not have imagined the development of firearm technology 2 centuries into the future. If single shot muzzle loading firearms were the only kinds allowed, the US would be a much safer place for all its citizens.

the sight of a toddler playing with firearms is repugnant. Naming the photo 'Dream'makes it even worse.

Artillery pieces are NOT firearms as you can't bear them in your arms.

"Firearms" include all kinds of gun - some of which are tools - such as the Lyle gun for firing a line from shore to ship. The term also includes rockets!

Artillery pieces are not firearms.

in case some of you don't know in USA narkotic substances are illegal, but sporting goods such as guns, bows, crossbows, knifes, fishing rods, shovels, matches, boots, hats, ammunition, axes, pillows ropes, et cetera are legal.

Sole purpose of a firearm is killing people? I believe I prevented the death of myself, my wife and my two year old with one, not a shot was fired after four thugs kicked in my door at 3AM. All it took was shoving it up one thugs nose. Would you rather I challenge them to a chess match or wrestle all four to see who wins? Guns save lives.
