This challenge is for photos taken under circumstances that surely should have caused motion blur, but did not result in a blurry image because the camera or post-processing removed the blur. The thing that kept the image from being blurred could be anti-shake hardware, multi-shot anti-blur processing in the camera (e.g., as implemented in Sony NEX), or it could be "blind deconvolution" post-processing software. Using a fast shutter speed, holding the camera more steady (e.g., using a tripod), or panning with a moving subject are NOT acceptable for this challenge -- see additional rules below.

Processing rules:

If you used fancy post-processing, such as "blind deconvolution" software to remove motion blur, state what software you used.

Additional rules:

To prove that you have read and followed the rules, your entry title must include one of: (L) for lens anti-shake, (S) for sensor-movement anti-shake, (C) for any other processing in the camera to remove blur, or (P) for post-processing to remove blur. Any title without (L), (S), (C), or (P) will result in disqualification.

The basic problem with challenges is that too many people don't seem to understand that the purpose of challenges is supposed to be to improve one's art -- in this series primarily by making people aware of how to use technologies they might not have known about.

I've seen that the more directly a challenge tries to accomplish such a goal (as opposed to simply giving people a place to show-off random photos), the fewer valid entries it gets. There also are lots of messages/comments with many a disturbing mix of "DQ them!" and "Why did you DQ me for not following your stupid rules!" -- but some do learn.

Except #3, the top 5 are good examples of what I was hoping for. Of {L,S,C,P}, only L predates digital photography, and unlike {C,P} it does nothing to mitigate subject movement blur, but it still dominated the entries... proving my point that people are not aware of these technologies and what they can do. Hopefully, a few more are aware now.... ;)

The whole challenge is bogus, isn't it? Vibration reduction does not remove motion blur in the first place, so why ask for it?

in voting, hardly anyone will look at shutter speeds, they will just look at the picture and vote on that.

any shutter speed over 1/300th of a second is too fast; there are shots here at 1/500th of a second, enough to freeze just about any motion....clearly this is utilizing shutter speed and not some built in vibration negating tech.

The rule is contradicting to its own rule. I have seen shots here that is impossible to use a human hand to hold it steady and yet was not disqualified.

I understand....rules are there for a reason, however, to disqualify a first time 'challenger'....well....
Who's to say that even if I did attach an L, S, C, or P to the title that that's what it was?
Actually, I didn't use anything to 'deblur'....I simply clicked,(a little old Canon A-540 Power Shot) captured the photo, and submitted it..
You just took all the fun from it.
Really disappointing......nevertheless,

Some submissions were captured at shutter speeds faster than 1/1000s -- clearly "using a fast shutter speed" to stop motion, which the theme explicitly says is "NOT acceptable for the challenge."

Because I did not explicitly specify a definition of "fast shutter speed," I will not disqualify otherwise compliant entries. However, *in voting please favor images for which the shutter speed by itself is insufficient to explain the lack of blur.*
