Dominate your photo with the colors of Yellow and Green in equal parts. The photo may include other color, but the main object or point of interest in the photo must be yellow and green. The challenge is to have equal part yellow and equal green, or as close to equal as you can.

I am not sure either but the focal point is not the background, for me anyways.
But I agree with your statement that "NOT that the whole image should be 50/50"

The rules state that the subject (focal point) should be yellow and green - "the main object or point of interest in the photo must be yellow and green", and the parts should be close to 50/50 - NOT that the whole image should be 50/50 yellow and green -
So, it seems that a yellow & brown flower on a green background doesn't really qualify -- ??

I looked at that and thought the green was more than background, an extension of the depth of the flower, that's how it seemed to me looking at it from far back so I left it in.

60 entries is a very low number of entries. I have been waiting for this one to come up and now I can't even enter. Seems silly to have such a low number.

There are several reasons to limit the number of entries. It makes it easier (actually a little less intensive search) for hosts to identify biased voters and it encourages voters to judge all entries, rather than a few.

These are two reasons. I think they are lazy reasons but you're entitled to them.
What's wrong with a bit of competition on a higher number of entries? It's no surprise that the colour categories are popular, so it makes sense to cater for the volume of people wanting to compete.
This is a world wide audience and not your local Camera Club.

KS: Dislike or disagree. On a set of 50 photos, I judge and look at all by the millimeter. On a set of 100 well I just look at those that are visually appealing from afar.

Afar or up close, I would judge an image from what jumps out at me then study closer on a chosen number. How would you score an image of a perfect portrait that covers only 10% of the frame as opposed to a subject that fills 85% of the frame?
I appreciate the compromise to 70, Barb. It's a fantastic subject.

I love the winner photo. Because it is well composed and is sheer imagination. I must disagree here, most entries, a good 90% are flowers.
