Shoot an outdoors night scenery in jpeg format with Shade or Daylight white balance to create that Yellow Glow/ Yellow Flare/ Yellow Solarized Halo... etc.

Processing rules:

No HDR / Composites
Don't cut out the background.
Don't change the hue just to achieve the yellow glow. (For example from a white shot to yellow)
It's ok to change the contrast, lightness, saturation etc to make the yellow pop.
Retain the Exif to show it's been shot in required White Balance

Capture date rules:

Images must be shot after the announcement date of the challenge.

Additional rules:

Photos used in previously completed DPReview.com challenges are not allowed.
No political statement please.
If you are submitting multiple shots, it would be preferable not to submit shots which are of similar scene.
Shots with Other WB will be rejected, subject to explaination.
Definition of 'night' for this challenge : 'daily period of darkness: the period of darkness occurring each day in most parts of the world, or the entire period between sunset and sunrise' - thanks to Encarta World English Dictionary

You can use Opanda or ACDSee or Photoshop or Gimp or anything else.
Sometimes after setting the WB to Shade, the program still says 'Manual White Balance'. But if you look at the Lightsource, it usually says 'Shade'. That is ok.

Hmm, AFAIK the exif info only tells whether the white balance was shot manual or auto, not the specific white balance setting (that's all I see when I look up properties detail). Excuse my ignorance, perhaps there is a special program that show this info. I wonder if that's why there are no entries yet. Too bad, I really like those types of shots and was looking forward to seeing what everyone came up with.
