Processing rules:

Full colours only.
Heavy PP work allowed but it still has to look obviousely like a photograph.
HDR allowed.

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

The entry must show at least one sunflower in full back light + the full sun.
The use of a flash will surely help catching such scenery.
Please only post shots that you yourself has taken.
Be fair - one woman/man one vote.

The rules still say (and everything else is unfair) that the picture must show the full sun.

Therefore every picture that does not show the full sun will only receive 0.5 stars from me.

That is not an impossible rule. I just had to search my 600 images of sunflowers to find one that qualifies. Since you are changing the rules now it makes me want to change my entry.

Your comment shows precisely why trying to change rules on the fly is unfair to someone . . . the only fair way is to cancel or use the published rules.

I'm sure you can, it is still fundamentally unfair, in a fair competition rules do not get changed part way through . . .

OK - no way to change the original rules - but:
As none of the entries so far shows flower(s) AND full sun I regard this as a impossible rule and will allow also backlit sunflowers without the sun visible within the frame.

Your published rules are the rules . . . you have a sample so it's not impossible. Run to the published rules or can the Challenge ad start again. Anything else is unfair.

On the picture sun is exactly behind the flower. Otherwise such ligh could not be achieved. The shadow on stalk was formed by flash.

Don't you see the sun? It is right besides the flower. THere is no rule that excludes the use of a flash.

Hi - as mentioned earlier after 5 days there was just one that full filled all the rules while I had to disq two dozend others - I have amended the rules and replaced the ones who show at least sunflowers in back light - without sun.Now it is your choice but I still prefer the sun included in the frame.
