Challenge has finished

In this challenge we are looking for some interesting perspectives of a book, a pile of books or even a wall of books. They need to be hardback and made of paper. No paper backs, Kindles or other types of electronic reading devices. They can be in the shot, but the main subject should be a hard back book.

Processing rules:

Post processing is OK. If you use creative lighting or PP please share your technique but try to capture the mood as best you can. Boaders are cool but no watermarks.

Capture date rules:

Images must be shot after the announcement date of the challenge.

Additional rules:

The "taken" date on all entries MUST have a date no earlier then the announcement date of the challenge. Please make sure your camera clocks are correct. All entries that do not meet this criteria will be DQ'ed. Please make sure this is correct as I hate DQ'ing photos.

Creativity is the key and because most people are home a lot, all photos must be shot after the announcement. The goal is to learn how to see things differently and think creatively while showing off our photography skills. Have fun and good luck.

UPDATE

I have been in contact with Mr. Butler of DPR and he has asked for a little time to talk with the IT people to see if they can drill down any deeper then I have with the data available to them. He seems willing, but lacks the ability to go beyond what I have done himself and is escalating the issue. I hope to hear back shortly but did tell him I would post my findings later if they can't help with more details.

I have reviewed the voting and have sent the findings into DPR for feedback. I will give them 14hrs to reply to my request before I proceed further. I'll post what I found if they have nothing to add or do not get back to me.

Mike can tell if one person did all .5 or if it was a few people that just voted some .5s each. I submitted the top photo that didn't get any .5s and I can assure you I don't vote in challenges I enter, and I have no friends that are here to vote down other peoples entries for my benefit. I hate that stuff. Mike should look at the voting and comment on if he saw 1 voter do all .5s and if not, it's just the normal way people vote, some just give out a lot of .5s.

Oh Barb I didn't think you were involved - truly. I know that you deplore this and have said so many times. I don't know the purpose of this sandbagging this time but I do believe it had nothing whatsoever to do with you. Congratulations on your fair win with a lovely photograph :-)

Nearly every one of these entries scored a .5 mark. As this should be given only to entries that do not meet the challenge or break the rules I do no know why this mark was given at all in this challenge. As far as I can see NONE of these entries warranted this score. Mike is one of the better hosts and would not let an entry go to voting that warranted a .5 mark. So what is going on?
