I really liked this challenge...it was fun to twiddle with a few of my pictures to see how they'd turn out, especially that hibiscus flower from my neighbor's hedge. Indeed, let's do another one!

My first pic was DQ'd, but I'm not sure why. I guess it is because of the capture date. I thought processing it after the announcement met the criteria. So, I took another today. I hope this one is acceptable.

Looking at some of the posted images, can I assume that "paintings" such as watercolor effects are acceptable?

you know those watercolor pencils? great fun if you are so inclined.
less common, but one can also apply paint with a pen.

lets be happy for an out of the ordinary challenge and not split nails over to pen or not to pen?
May the winner be an image that genuinely benefited from being tastfully postprocessed, regardless of what style it is.
