Color theme: white

I feel bad ... I voted for a lot of images in this, and there were way too many low votes given, because they didn't follow the rules ... as I understand them. I felt I had to give very low points for some very excellent shots ... shots that could have been winners in different contests. I apologize to those photographers. Perhaps the contest could have been done differently, but there were enough folks that DID follow the "white only" rule. I gave a score of two or less, I stated my reasoning. I tried to review all of them ... A lot of work!!! :)

How should we grade the entries on this one?? Based on the description 'Only white' I feel inclined to down-grade all images with less than 95% of (shades of) white, and that's a lot of entries...

What do you people think? Or better: Challenge host, could you maybe elaborate on this??

I've just been notified that my photo was disqualified from this challenge, and although I have no problem with a host setting the rules up as they see fit (that's the nature of a challenge, after all), I can't understand why my image was rejected. There are other images showing just as much/if not the same quality of white as the one I had entered. It's really confusing to me, since I read the rules carefully, and followed examples of images submitted before mine. This is really disheartening, and quite frustrating. And I wish there were more clarification from the host as to how they are coming to these decisions.

i know there are more shades of white in a paint store than you can shake a stick at but this is getting ridiculous.....

check the examples again. Very plain, White ONLY. what the heck is up with the cat...ROTFLMAO

It maybe my first entry, but I went on the assumption that the subject of the picture being white.

Well, according the exampls given by the host most should be disqualified. White only means exactly that. Come on host, please advise on this. Are you not going to disqualify the entrants or do you prefer those who follow the rules to complain?

I ask this because I have a photo of with a bit of orange and a bit of green along with my main subject and if the rules are getting bent, I would like to enter.
