Submit a photograph of a car, train, boat, plane, bicycle, or any form of transportation. Not merely machines, these represent nearly the summit of human ingenuity and are often thought important enough to be named. Transport machines are very often works of art, and so take artful photographs of them.

Processing rules:

Minimal post-processing. This is mainly an exercise in straight photography

Additional rules:

Transport photos are often mundane, or are only interesting to enthusiasts. But consider how you can take a photograph that stands out, one that will generate interest among the voters.
Get close; find an interesting camera angle.
A machine in motion may be more interesting.
Consider which is more interesting -- a view *of* a machine, or the view *from* a machine?
Bright colors, strong contrasts, and sharpness can make your image more compelling. Gritty black and white images can have a similar response.
Consider the background, setting, and atmosphere of your photo. What is the better setting for a Jeep -- in a parking lot, or on a dirt road in the mountains?
Older transport from generations past may have an elegance that is lacking today, while the latest technology is thrilling. But a decrepit machine may be useful for social commentary.
Consider humanizing your photo by including people; humans also can add a sense of scale to your image.

I don't feel I can do justice to these pictures when there are so many of them to consider. Up to four entries per user is just too much - this is probably why a lot of similar images turn up. If someone is really keen, he or she will get a picture in in time when there's a limit of, say, 100 - 150. If you agree - or disagree - plese say so.

I generally like wide participation in challenges. I do know that I am frustrated when a challenge fills up too quickly. I like multiple entries for the similar reason that sometimes it is hard for a photographer to determine which particular image is best. Often it is quite surprising and gratifying when one particular photographer's work is all rated quite highly on the same challenge.

Now this does make it much harder for conscientious voters who want to vote for each entry. I've heard this a number of times. The voting system appears to be robust enough to handle voters who only select a subset of images to vote on.

I acknowledge the validity of the points you make. I try to self-criticise when selecting which of my images to submit, though this does mean I lose the judgement by others of alternative images. Subsets? Well, there were a lot of pictures of cars; I am not too interested in cars, so I suppose I could have speeded up the process by giving anything other than an outstandingly good/bad effort the same number of points. I could show finer judgement on fewer pictures, however...

sorry, I've got a problem... I can't send photos for challenge, because in edit photo section you have to click "Pick up camera" button but it doesn't work at all... anyone can help me ?? thank you

I don't know if anyone helped you but I can tell you how to do it: go to your Gallery, turn edit mode on and Pick camera for each camera. Trust me this works. Enjoy your challenges!

Otherwise U can edit the EXIF and make sure U have a valid version entered..
