Capture date rules: No restrictions. Additional rules: The following are suggestions, not rules. Avoid using the camera's built-in flash; the quality of the light is often poor, and you risk getting red eyes. Instead, use high ISO, a fast lens, or off-camera flash, perhaps bounced off a wall or ceiling. Arrive early while the decorations and food are fresh. People also may look better at the beginning of the party rather than later. Try to photograph groups of people. Try various camera angles and positions. Candid photos are often very good.
