Challenge has finished Images shot with light tending toward the blue end of the visible spectrum are described as cool. Choose an appropriate subject, using the right light, or by making minor adjustments to the image's color balance, demonstrate your ability to produce a cool image. (See Additional rules.) Show full rules Announced: Saturday, 3rd April, 2010 (GMT) Submissions: Saturday, 10th April, 2010 – Friday, 16th April, 2010 (GMT) Voting: Saturday, 17th April, 2010 – Friday, 23rd April, 2010 (GMT) Processing rules: Basic image correction (retouch as required), but adjustments to the color balance are acceptable so long as it is not blatant. No borders or watermarks. No composite images. Capture date rules: No restrictions. Additional rules: Color images only. No mediocre snapshots; demonstrate that you've put effort into the composition. No "mixed messages" images (e.g. warm scene shot in cold light). If you see an entry that you feel doesn't qualify, use the complaint button and explain why you think it should be disqualified ... but do so well before the submission deadline ends.
