Monolithic Color: Black Challenge #18 in the Ways of Seeing series. Hosted by jezsik. Challenge has finished Show us a color image that says "Black!" Show us lots and lots of black. Black on black is ideal, but make sure we can tell that it's a color image. Is your image black enough? If a viewer doesn't say "Whoa, that's really black!" then it's not black enough. Show full rules Announced: Saturday, 14th November, 2009 (GMT) Submissions: Saturday, 21st November, 2009 – Friday, 27th November, 2009 (GMT) Voting: Saturday, 28th November, 2009 – Friday, 4th December, 2009 (GMT) Processing rules: No borders or watermarks. No composite images. Color images only, no B&W or toned images. No artificially colored images (you really have to capture a black image, not just create one in your editing software). Retouch as required, but avoid flattening the image with curves and level adjustments (really photograph something black). Capture date rules: No restrictions. Additional rules: If your image looks like it's B&W even though it's color, include a note to that fact otherwise a complaint might be issued against your image.
