Olympus

Olympus is showing off what remains the only new DSLR of the show - the E-620. The stand does a good job of demonstrating how broad its E-system range now is, with five DSLRs and lenses stretching from an 8mm fisheye up to the imposing 90-250 F2.8.

The company's shock and waterproof Stylus Tough models are also in evidence (including the Stylus Tough 6000 encased in ice to demonstrate their durability), alongside the budget FE range and compact superzoom Stylus 9000 (mju 9000 in Europe). There are also plenty of opportunities to drop, crush and soak the Stylus Toughs and Stylus Water cameras.

There are also a handful of models wearing waterproof, greaseproof custom covers offered in collaboration with Skinit.com. Olympus has given Skinit.com the dimensions of its latest compacts so that the skins can be fitted exactly to the camera, so that, if you live in North America, you can select one of 5000 designs or uploading your own photos. The covers are removable and use a 3M adhesive that leaves no residue - allowing the covers to be changed as often as you like.

What's not on show, however, is any further development of the Micro Four Thirds concept mock-up that drew so much attention at the Photokina show last year.
