Casio

Casio has its range of compact cameras on display and has set up a variety of shooting opportunities to test their abilities.

The EX-FC100 is arranged around a mockup football (soccer) pitch, to demonstrate its high-speed shooting capabilities. This allows high-speed, reduced resolution shooting at between 210 and 1000 frames per second for slowing motion or, at full resolution, bursts of 30 frames per second from which single frames can be selected. Unlike the previous EX-F1 and FH-20, the FC100 squeezes this high-speed ability into a conventional compact camera body (with a 5x optical zoom).

Also on show is Casio's unique Dynamic Photo mode in which multiple shots can be built into a sequence, the backgrounds removed and alternative backgrounds inserted in their place. This feature can be found on the EX-S12 (and also the Z270 and Z400 in Europe) The camera initially outputs up to twenty JPEGS of the captured motion that can then be combined online into one of a series of popular video formats.
