Sigma

The big news on the Sigma stand is the large-sensor compact, the DP1 and prints from the camera decorate the stand. Sigma said that prices were still being finalized but were expected to be £550-£600 in the UK, around Euro 800 in Europe and in the region of $800 in the USA. Numerous examples of the now-in-production camera were present on the stand in anticipation of an "early spring 2008" roll-out.

Also on the stand were examples of the company's ever-expanding lens range, including the new 18-125mm f/3.8-5.6, 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 and 150-500mm f/5-6.3, optically stabilized lenses. Also in evidence was Sigma's expansion of its range to a broader range of mounts, including Four Thirds, Pentax and Sony.

Also attracting attention is the company's monster 200-500 f/2.8, which really has to be seen to be believed.
