Nikon

As ever the Nikon stand is one of the show's largest. The Japanese camera giant, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, is showcasing almost its entire arsenal of photographic weaponry ranging from the newly announced Coolpix S and L series compact cameras to the brand new entry level DSLR D60 (including the 18-55mm VR kit lens) and the visitors’ favourite, the flagship full-frame DSLRs D3. There is a whole stack lenses as well (the long ones mounted on tripods to be tested on the attached D3s) and we even spotted an FM10 tacked away in the corner of one of the displays; the last witness of a long gone past? For the entertainment of the masses Nikon has also set up a stage for demonstrations of Capture NX, the latest version of the company’s RAW conversion software. When the stand visitors get tired of checking out the latest in camera technology they can relax in the ‘Coolpix Style lounge’ (basically a collection of black leather seats) and indulge in the fine photography displayed in the Nikon Photographer Gallery.
