Highlight of the Pentax stand is the new Optio WP, one of the few truly waterproof digital cameras on the market. The sleekly-designed WP offers a decent 5 megapixel / 3x zoom / 2.0-inch LCD spec, and is certified waterproof down to 5 feet. The only other new camera on show is the Optio S50, another slim, lightweight 5 megapixel model with a 3x zoom and 11MB of internal memory. Unusually for an Optio the S50 has a mode dial, rather than relying entirely on menus for choosing shooting modes. On display - though not likely to ever be available in the US - is the new silver version of the *ist DS, which is actually a lot nicer looking than it sounds!
