Bibble Labs

Bibble Labs is showing version 5 of its raw software that has grown from simple RAW conversion to become a complete workflow tool. The latest version includes the ability to make localized edits (which can be applied to polygonal, curved or brushed areas). It also includes an optional asset-management system for organising images.

One of key benefits of the software is its speed, particularly on multi-core systems (for example, it can process 1000 1Ds Mark III images in 7 minutes on a 16-core AMD Opteron machine). The company claims it is 10 to 88 times faster than competing products. The new version will be released in the fourth quarter of the year and any users that have bought previous versions since Photokina 2006 will be eligable for a free upgrade.
