Samsung

Samsung's growing importance in the industry is reflected in its huge, modern booth (complete with annoying german 'performance magician'). And the product is pretty impressive too; the new 'NV' range of cameras (NV3, NV10, NV7 OPS) are attractive and well-specified (particularly the NV7 OPS with its 7x image stabilized zoom and classic styling). Photokina also sees the offical launch of the GX10, Samsung's version of the well-recieved Pentax K10D; the first fruit of the companies' joint development agreement (previous Samsung DLSR models were simple re-badge jobs). Although essentially the same camera, we did note that Samsung has designed its own on-screen menu system and user interface.
