Konica Minolta

By far the biggest draw on the Konica Minolta stand is the long-awaited Maxxum (Dynax) 7D digital SLR. Our first impressions of the 7D are very positive; handling, build and overall design seem to be of a very high quality and the AS system - according to our early tests - works well. Of course the big question of price has yet to be answered, though we expect the 7D to go head to head with the Canon EOS 20D. The new Dimage A200 also gets its public debut, and very nice it is too. Essentially a cosmetic upgrade to the acclaimed A2 (which it will replace towards the end of the year), the A200 feels more polished and has a slightly friendlier, curvy design - and it seems a lot lighter too. Also on show are the latest additions to KM's compact lineup - the Dimage X50 (shown here in black, red and silver versions), the Z3 (here silver, unlike the black version sold in the US) and the Z10.
