Why are DSLR's doing well in the market place while compacts have declined and Mirrorless ILC's appear to have stalled ? I believe buyers who want something better than a smartphone are looking for a Proper Camera, the features of which can be identified.

The keynote is to show that you can change your way of life a little bit. You do not live for photography but you can live with photography in a deeper way than simply "to have" a new camera. It is the way to use the camera as an instrument for visualisations of the world around you.

If you are on a budget then a cropped sensor body .. and add the full frame in the future .. simply because the full frame gives you higher IQ, better low light performance and shallower DOF

Canon's "electronic 1st shutter curtain method" for "Low Shock shooting" in Live-View mode, the "Silent" is merely a byproduct. Sony have also employing "an electronic 1st shutter curtain" since 2011. An electronic 1st shutter curtain mode would not change the sensor's imaging quality.

This is an answer to the 'dream camera'. I get seriously tired of manufacturers imposing their choices of what is good or bad. Note that you will not find 'white balance'. The reason is that this camera is to shoot RAW only RAW at its best. JPG is just for fast viewing and sharing.
