Color Management can be confusing. Here I hope to explain how the colors you photograph can be made to survive reasonably intact as they move through the five major color spaces usually encountered from shot to print or post: camera, camera jpeg processor, image processor, monitor, and print or web.

Green screen kits are used in the photography field to super-impose a picture on a background. A camera person shoots the subject against the green screen and uploads the captured picture to the computer.

We tested the most popular branded lens cleaners for removing oils/finger prints from camera lenses, filters and eye glass lenses. Only three products were clear winners. You may be surprised by the one "high tech" lens cleaner that came in last

When I bought my first APS-C sensor DSLR I wanted to buy my first prime lens. I was told 35mm lens is equivalent to standard normal view 50mm on a 35mm sensor .. and the 50mm will be the equivalent of 75mm ..

Shutter speed makes very little difference to shots with flash .. it is more about how far the subject (double the distance you get 1/4 the light or the inverse square law), what ISO and most importantly what aperture .. while shutter speed only alters how the ambient light is captured ..

Why are the SX30 and SX40 so good at capturing detail at high zoom? I have come to the conclusion that it is because the high pixel density of the small sensor allows it to retain most of the image detail that the lens produces. The APSC sensors of compact SLRs, however, do not.

The NEX-5N is a rather complex camera and Sony has a rather "deep" menu. These settings help the photographer work with the camera!
