And here's the EVF-DC1 viewfinder, off the camera. Extremely similar to other units of its type in terms of design, the 2.36 million-dot (1024x768 pixel) EVF attaches directly to the G1 X Mark II's hotshoe and can be tilted up by 90 degrees.
As you'd expect, the EVF-DC1 is a massive improvement on previous 'tunnel-type' optical designs. Is it worth the extra $300? If you really like working with a viewfinder as opposed to the rear LCD we certainly think so.
