Canon shows its full range of DSLRs, compact cameras, video cameras and printers at its large stand in the Central Hall. Visitors can follow presentations by professional photographers and admire their work in the Canon Gallery.

In the absence of any DSLR announcements the large- sensor mirrorless PowerShot G1 X is Canon's star at the show and the focus of visitor attention. The only other new camera announcements for the 2012 CES are the ELPH 520 HS (IXUS 500 HS in Europe) and the ELPH 100 HS (IXUS 125 HS in Europe). The former is the World's slimmest 12x zoom camera and offers a 28-336mm equivalent lens range, the latter is built around a 16MP CMOS sensor and offers a 5x, 24-120mm equivalent lens.

Visitors can have a peek through the long tele lenses at the Canon stand. As usual the Rebel DSLRs draw a lot of attention but at this CES...
Presentations are given on the stage... ...and in the Canon Gallery some impressive photography by Canon photographers in on display.
...the G1 X large sensor compact is the star at the Canon stand. The G1 X is visually very similar to the G12 enthusiast compact camera...
...and comes with a tilting and swiveling screen.
