Waterproof camera returns to owner after being lost at sea

An Olympus camera lost by a Finnish diver (see above) on a trip in Thailand has made its way back to its owner. Reported by the travel site Sail In Finland, in January the Finnish diver's tethered camera floated away after some rough weather. The point-and-shoot was found the next day by Krzysztof Torzynski, a Polish diver from Denmark, who was in the same waters.

Torzynski then used photos on the camera to look for the owner. Unable to track down the boat (despite a clearly visible ID number on the boat) he turned to the Sail in Finland site, which used the flag flying on the boat to track down the yacht club and then the owner. As a result, the photographer from Finland now has his lost camera heading back to him from a diver in another country.

It's nice to see that there are still good people out there. Have you ever lost a camera or memory card, only to have it returned by an honest person?
