How to make a cover girl

Probably you already know that, aprox 85% of the pictures on magazines are being digitally enhanced / modified. We even refer to this as "photoshoping". There are a million reasons why a picture needs to be enhanced or radically modified, so I'm not going to focus on that here. What I want to say is that this is something that you need to know how to do if you work in a publishing agency, or in a magazine, or any other publishing/ ads service. If you are a photographer and you're learning to use photoshop, this video will be of a lot of help to you!.

In this video you will be able to see the process of turning a picture of any woman, into a super hot "playboy" cover girl.

Some of the tools used in this video are:

Cloning tool

Smudge tool

Cut/copy/paste

Color balance

Selection /freehand

Something that you need to remember always is to work under a "layers structure", in this way any new element you add can be easily replaced, remake, and it won't affect permanently the whole project. If you make a mistake and can't undo, then you can eliminate the layer and continue working. Also, If you're sure you won't need to edit them, you can combine the layers that represent a whole element, (if any) so you end up working only on the layers you need.

If you're totally new to this, I recommend to use the tutorials and go step by step to learn to use the basic tools. Know your layout and tools so you discover all that it can be done throught this software.

If you learn to use the tools, then it'll be just a matter of imagination and creativity.

WORST Video EVER - No sound and no clarity. Totally useless. Why does DPReview allow such a waste-of-time article to be published here? It should be pulled!

The video is mostly unwatchable & pixelated; posted at a very low resolution, so much so that it's next to impossible to clearly see any work done in Ps with any of the tools used; very disappointing amateur video.
