5 Fearless (and well insured) Photographers

I know some photographer’s that will do almost anything to get the perfect shot. And when they know that they’re on the verge of getting that shot, it’s like they let go of their fears, and their instincts kick in.

 #1 Cliff tops

A photographer sets up his kit, tripod and all on top of a mountain in Utah. I think what I find more unnerving about this is it’s taken from another perspective which could be equally as dangerous.

#2 Dangerous insects

This pincher loaded invertebrate looks all the more intimidating in fluorescence. I really wouldn’t want to meet this little critter underneath a black light any time soon. Although, the only time black lights are used are in nightclubs, for forensic investigation and by people who are permanently raving like it’s the 90s – all of which are pretty terrifying.

#3 Underwater threat

 A swarm of striped stinging Eel Catfish ripple past an underwater photographer. Who’s to say they won’t hastily change direction…

#4 Catching a wave

 Meanwhile on the water’s surface, a photographer clinches a perfect shot  of a surfer in Tahiti, seconds before the sea claims his camera.

#5 Don’t look down

 A climber captures how far he’s climbed (and his foot) up the Sugar Loaf mountain in Monmouthshire, Wales. I get a real sense of vertigo with this one. Possibly because the stance of the climber’s leg disorientates the angle:

The photographer’ featured risked more than possibly their lives whilst capturing these stunning shot – they risked they’re expensive camera equipment too, so if you’re attempting these sorts of shots, you might want to look at getting some camera equipment insurance from a reputable insurer.
