Google has rolled out an updated version of its Image Search feature with faster browsing speeds and a redesigned UI. Announced last week, the revamped image search is now online, and allows users to preview suggested images in a larger window, and scroll through other pictures using using their keyboard's arrow keys. This takes the experience of browsing images from a search much closer to that of using Google's dedicated smartphone and tablet app.

While the company's blog post, announcing the new interface mentions an ability to view 'detailed' metadata information, it currently appears to display only basic data, limited to source and image size along with options to either visit the source or view the original image.

Google's revamped image search offers a faster experience and a refined UI which allows you to preview and scroll through suggested images quickly in a dedicated preview window.
