My first impressions of what appears to be a great lens.

After waiting over a month for the pre ordered M.Zuiko Digital 17mm F1.8.  The first things I wanted to know  was , how sharp, how clear does the image appear with indoors and out doors images at  F1.8.

Last I wanted to know how good  is the sharpness in regards to depth of field.

I shot at f1.8  and f8 at a decaying cabin and fence post.  Last, I shot threw a car mirror. I played with the depth of field in a side mirror  at f 1.8 by selecting different points in the image. I never thought at F1.8 you could find an optimum point of focus to get a tac sharp area of sharp depth of focus.

I am impressed by the structure of the lens holding together the transmitted light image.

I'll down load some images of my first  two hours shooting with the M.Zuiko Digital f1.8 lens.

I'm going to India, I feel this lens will fun in low light street and documentary work.

Now all the M.Zuiko Digial people have to do is make is a 14mm f1.8 and I'm in heaven.
