problem with my canon 550D

hi guys!! im a newbie here. so i have problem with my canon 550D/Rebel T2i. when im
taking a picture using shutter speed below 1/250, the picture is okay. but when im taking using above/more than 1/250 (shutter speed), there have black shadow in the picture. i'll attach the picture to yours view. Please help me...thanks.

	shutter speed: 1/400 f:1.8 iso:200
	shutter speed: 1/500 f:1.8 iso:200

I think that the problem is the flash sync speed, If i not wrong the flash sync speed for the 550D is 1/200 or lower (1/100 ... 1/60 and son on ).... So when you take a shot whit a fastest speed (1/200 ....1/4000) The camera shutter is faster than the flash fill time, thas´s why your photos appears half iluminated
