Week in review: 8 things we learned
Our readers are not afraid to get close to creepy crawling things

We already knew DPR readers are a talented lot, but since we started asking for submissions for semi-regular Readers Showcase articles from our various forums we've been consistently amazed at the quality of the photos submitted. This past week we highlighted the Still Life and Macro Photography forum, with a simple request asking forum members for their best macro shots. Not surprisingly the results were stunning - and kind of creepy.
In fact, the submissions were almost entirely comprised of very close up pictures of things with lots and lots of legs. And mandibles. And weird eyeballs. Being brave, these things did not bother DPR staffers as we made our showcase selection. Nope, not a bit. But if they did, just hypothetically, making that selection would have been a tough job...
